how to maintain your wood furniture

How to care for your new furniture

With a minimal commitment of time and energy you can keep your wooden furniture looking beautiful year after year!

Basically you want to dust, clean and condition!
Give your piece a good dusting. You can use a microfiber cloth, feather duster or old rag.
Following up with a little soap and water. A wet rag with a non abrasive cleaner will do it. There is also a plethora of wood cleaning products out there on the market to choose from. No need to scrub and scour as that could scratch the porous surface.
When your furniture is dusted, clean and dry you can apply a wax or finishing oil. We like to use Howard’s feed and wax wood polish and conditioner but again, there are many products on the market to choose from. Wax on, wax off! Rub your finish on and work it in until you have a nice smooth sticky-free surface. Continued use of a wax/ oil will help to deepen the lovely natural patina of the wood. Keeping your wood dry of spills or sitting water and clear of excessive heat and humidity will help to ensure years of strength and beauty!

the castle joint bed is quickly becoming one of our most popular bed styles. Using traditional Japanese joinery no tools are needed for assembly. After studying the other copies of this bed made in Vietnam and Indonesia usually made from rubber wood and finger jointed scrap pieces to be mass produced into their bed.. Missioncraft has perfected this bed out of beautiful hardwoods like walnut, cherry, oak and maple..etc..real wood .. with several different headboard styles..i am confident this is the superior bed of all the copies..please take a look at all the instagram pics of this beautiful bed..we are very proud of it..and it will be a unique bed in your home!
